Topics for Friday's quiz

  1. Significance of the atomic theories discussed in class - (Dalton, Thomson, Rutherford, Bohr and Schrodinger)
  2. Calculate ratios of elements in compounds using Laws of definite proportions and multiple proportions
  3. Calculating density of the nucleus given diameter and mass.
  4. Draw Bohr Diagrams
  5. Use Bohr diagrams to explain trends in the periodic table
  6. Design an experiment to test the Law of Conservation of Mass, include a hypothesis.
There will be no multiple choice, only written and calculations based questions.  Make sure you bring a calculator.

Laboratory Experiment #9 Thursday Nov.14

This week's lab will be an optional class but a mandatory assignment.  You can come to the lab on Thursday in order to work on your assignment collaboratively with your peers and ask me any questions you may have.  It is not mandatory that you come to the lab on Thursday but you must complete this assignment and hand in Next week.  it will be due on Thursday Nov. 21.
