A number of you  have been inquiring about water.  You must be able to describe the structure of water and its chemical characteristics and then relate the characteristics to the structure.  If you need some extra reading on this click here

Final Exam Outline

The final exam will be composed of

1. 30 multiple Choice questions on three different topics - Cell Structure/function and Processes, Evolution and Atomic Theory
2. Written and Calculation questions 
• cell structure and function (diagram)
• process of osmosis
• experimental design and hypothesis
• importance of water and how structure is related to characteristics of water
• Kingdoms of Life and their characteristics
• DNA mutations
• fitness and natural selection
• Hardy-Weinberg Equation
• calculating average atomic mass
• calculating mass ratios
• trends in the periodic table
• subatomic particles (chart)

Possible diagrams that may be on the Final Exam

For each diagram you should be familiar with all parts - be able to explain characteristics/ functions/ relationships that may exist.

Extended office hours

for the weeks Dec 2-6 and Dec 9-13 my office hours will be as follows
Monday and Wednesday   11am - 1pm
Thursday                           12pm-1:30pm
